Dream Team 2: Nov 30 – Dec 7

A second Dream Team Missions Week has been scheduled November 30 through December 7, 2013 and we are looking for the special individuals called to participate.

Most teams that visit Child Hope in Haiti are sponsored by specific church or mission communities. The vision of the Dream Team is to provide a way for individuals, couples, and families that are not part of a formal church or mission group to visit Child Hope. The Dream Team will be personally  hosted by Bill and Susette Manassero, who will also share their life experiences in Haiti and supervise team activities. Team members will be prepared for the experience through a series of virtual meetings using the internet and e-mail.

DreamTeam1The first Dream Team visited Haiti in June and was a great success. “One of the awesome testimonies of this trip was how we all came together and got along so well! I don’t think any team knowing each other ahead of time could have done any better!” observed team member Butch Koenig, who participated with his family from West Chester, Pennsylvania.

Dream Team 1 workActivities during the week will include hands-on work projects, fun activities at the boys and girls homes, assistance with the feeding program, outreaches to the local tent city/ravine communities, and the week will conclude with a special day trip to a  Haitian beach resort.

When members of the first Dream Team were asked what they thought others should know after their experience, responses included; “Every one of us should be finding a way to wipe out hunger for kids worldwide. It is achievable in our lifetime!” and “Go to Haiti! You will be so deeply ministered to and so stirred to pursue the kingdom work of Christ.”
