Over 3,000 people in Cité Soleil, Haiti were forced to flee their homes this past July as rampant gang wars raged around them. 140 homes were burned to the ground. Hundreds of children were separated from their families in the chaos.
One social worker from ONG OCCED’H, in partnership with UNICEF, has helped connect 76 children displaced by the July gang wars with their families. He credits the practical steps he learned at a Child Hope workshop as preparing him.
