This month, five of our older boys will be graduating from the orphanage and we are excited to share that all of them will be living with family. So much work goes into preparing them for this transition – family tracing, assessments, parenting classes, mental health evaluations, and more. It is great to see that work pay off with families reconciled, strengthened, and reunified!
We offered parenting classes for their family members (attended by parents but also aunts and older siblings who will serve as the head of the household). The trainings covered a number of topics including Biblical principles of family and conflict resolution. One aunt said the training was transformative. Training courses like this help pave the way to a smoother transition and family adjustments. These family members are committed!
This is God’s redemptive spirit at work!
