This month a mobile dental clinic made a stop at the orphanage. In addition to the four children living at the orphanage, we invited children who have been reunified with their families as well as graduates. There were 20 patients in total! The initial visit was for routine cleanings. A follow up visit was made to address additional dental care …

2021 Annual Report

As we look back at the tumultuous year in Haiti (and the world), we are compelled to pause and give thanks for how God has sustained us. Many of us have been in lament as we pray for Haiti during these unprecedented times. God has placed Child Hope right in the center of it all, advocating for kids, families, education …

Disaster Relief

It has been a difficult time for Haiti, and a difficult week for our staff on the ground as many have gotten word of relatives’ homes in ruin after the massive earthquake. One of our families reunited in the south lost their home completely, but they are safe, as are the rest of our children, families, and staff. The 7.2-magnitude …

2020 Annual Report

Last year was unreliable, unpredictable and unfamiliar to say the least. God met us in the chaos of the season and your STEADFAST support helped children and families be RESILIENT. Because of God’s provision through you, we had so much to be thankful for in 2020. We witnessed the miracles of finding family, restoring relationships, healing trauma and giving hope …

MDL Graduation

This year five of our boys turned 18 and graduated out of the orphanage. Before we said goodbye, we had a huge party to celebrate them, complete with speeches, laughter, food, and dancing. These young men have really blossomed and it was so much fun to throw a party in their honor. They deserved it! Many of the younger children …

Parenting Classes

This month, five of our older boys will be graduating from the orphanage and we are excited to share that all of them will be living with family. So much work goes into preparing them for this transition – family tracing, assessments, parenting classes, mental health evaluations, and more. It is great to see that work pay off with families …

Family sponsorship is a unique opportunity to walk alongside a …

Does your dentist make home visits? Ours does! Each year our dentist brings his mobile clinic to our orphanage and does check-ups for all of the kids living there. For more severe cases, he makes follow-up appointments. Dental cleaning is just one of the holistic health services provided at the orphanage. Our holistic health services also includes annual vaccinations, medical …

School Year Wrap Up

This school year has been unusual and very challenging.  Over the course of the year the children missed a total of 2 weeks of school due to the political protests in Port au Prince.  In early June, classes were again cancelled, meaning our students did not take their end-of-year exams. Although the end of the year was bittersweet, we are …
