This month a mobile dental clinic made a stop at the orphanage. In addition to the four children living at the orphanage, we invited children who have been reunified with their families as well as graduates. There were 20 patients in total! The initial visit was for routine cleanings. A follow up visit was made to address additional dental care concerns.
This served as a good opportunity for our social workers to check in with families, make sure they are doing well, and address any concerns.
Dental care is just one of the holistic health services provided to children and young adults in our programs. Services also include vaccinations, medical check-ups, mental health counseling, and more.
