We have very exciting news to share with you! Child Hope
International has been able to shift our care plan for Katrina,
reunifying her to live with her biological mom.
Katrina came into our care in 2006. It was a difficult time for her
mother and she was unable to care for her. Katrina’s mother would visit
Child Hope from time to time and check in. In 2017 we began discussing
the possibility of reunification.
Over
the past 2 years, our social worker and counselor have completed
several visits, which include economic, psychological, and social
assessments. This past summer, Katrina spent over a month at her mom’s
home in preparation for this move! In January, we finished the process
to transition Katrina back into her mother’s home.Child Hope will continue to be a part of Katrina’s life.
We remain committed to Katrina’s care and wellbeing. We believe that
this will be best accomplished while she is living in the home of her
mother who loves her and wants to be involved
in her daughter’s life. Child Hope International will continue to
support Katrina’s education and medical care, and monitor the safety of
her home placement. We will also provide her with opportunities for
internships and work placements.
Please join us in rejoicing over this wonderful news!
