We are excited to announce a new partnership with 1MillionHome (1MH)! The mission of 1MH is to fuel the eradication of practices that separate children from permanent family and to help one million kids get home. The most effective and expedient way to fulfill that mission is to transform orphanages/children’s homes by placing an emphasis on reunification services within these institutions.
Child Hope will be serving as a 1MH National Accelerator in Haiti. 1MH’s National Accelerator Program recognizes leading organizations in the field of child welfare and reunification and builds their capacity to affect greater change. As a National Accelerator, we will be helping other orphanages transition to family-based care by providing direct support and individualized counsel they need to begin reconciling and reunifying families.
1MillionHome is all about “radical collaboration,” and they have already been a wealth of knowledge and resources to us. We look forward to sharing the knowledge and resources with others who believe in the vision of no more “orphans” in Haiti!
