This school year has been unusual and very challenging. Over the course of the year the children missed a total of 2 weeks of school due to the political protests in Port au Prince. In early June, classes were again cancelled, meaning our students did not take their end-of-year exams.
Although the end of the year was bittersweet, we are proud to celebrate the top performers this school year: Ti-bo, Stanley, Ledinancia, Wilberson, Wadnaika, and Isadora! Overall, a third of the children received high marks and we treated them to a fun outing for ice cream!
As summer begins, please pray that the children would continue to grow and learn through CHI’s summer activities!
